The court heard David Trenton Murray, 56, of Dignams Creek had been drinking at the Cobargo Hotel back in August and had booked in to stay a few nights.
When asked to leave the pub area due to his behaviour, he went to his van parked outside and drove away but not before striking the hotel awning, at which point his keys were taken until police arrived and breath tested him.
Magistrate Doug Dick said the license disqualification was back dated to include the two months already served without a licence and that the two-year good behaviour bond was conditional on him continuing to attend Alcoholics Anonymous.
