Residents can now nominate someone for Australia Day’s community awards by filling in a simple nomination slip and dropping it into the ballot box at Narooma Library, or electronically on the Narooma Australia Day Celebration Facebook Page as a message.

Australia Day event organisers are starting early, as they want to hear lots of inspiring stories!
The Australia Day Festival Committee, who organise the celebration on January 26 consists of members of the community who are involved and represent various community organisations in Narooma and district including LIONS, CWA, SLSC, Rotary, Montague Choristers, MACS, Landcare, Narooma High School, Quota and emergency services.
A separate panel of judges who are former Citizens of the Year and /or recipients of Queens Birthday Honours scrutineer the nominations and select the local heroes.
Anyone in Narooma and district apart from this Judging Panel, can nominate or be nominated for any of the local awards, so they look forward to hearing your stories!
