Entering their fifth season, The Blue Balls turned out in force to brave the early morning Blue Pool temperatures.
Most exciting news is the inclusion of Maggi, the first women to enter the water with the world-famous Bondi Icebergs.
Now a resident of Bermagui, Maggi is true blue blood, winter swimming royalty. Robert Johnson , our resident Buckingham Palace observer and royal blogger has broken the news that Prince Phillip is seriously considering the position of patron on the Bermagui Blue Balls Club.
The Prince’s lack of political correctness will be a winner as fine master at the post swim, chilli soup and rehydration session at the Bermagui Hotel.
Maggi was quick to raise the bar and stayed in the water the longest to be awarded the Bermagui Gelati Clinic award for the week.
This week the Blue Balls are playing host to the Wollongong Whales and swimming at 9am on Saturday, not the normal Sunday, in front of the surf club at Horseshoe Bay. Bring your togs, courage and sense of humour.
The Bermagui swimmers and visiting Whales will then be attending the Narooma Numnutz’ 10-anniversary celebration on Saturday night and then recovery swim at 9am Sunday at Bar Beach, Narooma.
