The Narooma Numnutz winter swimming club started its 2017 season with 25 swimmers taking to Bar Beach for a leisurely swim across to the shark net and back in pleasant 18-degree water.

Mark “Podge” Rogerson told his usual joke at the halfway mark and Radio Ray Hirst was back at the south breakwall with the usual hot drinks.
The boys and girls then retired to O’Briens Hotel for a full-english breakfast in the morning sun, with a few mothers and wives of swimmers also enjoying the day.
The club hosts its big 10th birthday celebration this Saturday night at O’Briens Hotel followed by the usual swim at Bar Beach 9am Sunday. A contingent of 13 Wollongong Whales and also members of the Bermagui Blue Balls winter swimming clubs will also be attending
