Our bushwalk was changed last Thursday, June 8 because the preceding day’s rain had made the creek and bush trails too slippery to walk upon.
So we decided to bushwalk around Dalmeny with the intention to follow the Old Highway past the Dalmeny Water Tank. On the Old Highway, we took the first train and that was the last of the Old Highway we saw.
Not even a glimpse of the Dalmeny Water Tank as we followed a beautiful trail that crossed many streams, explored along the ridges, through some glorious old gum trees that led us to the trail down to Duesburys Beach.
From here we followed Dalmeny Narooma path and enjoyed the beautiful views up and down the coast. This 12km bushwalk was led by Kerrin and John Ogg and showed us one of the beautiful walks we have in Dalmeny.
Upcoming bushwalks include McKenzies Beach to Malua Bay and Tomakin to Guerilla Bay. Both areas have beautiful coastal bushwalks with marvelous views of the mountains as well as the rugged headlands. Coupled with extensive views up and down the coast.
