The Eurobodalla branch of the Animal Welfare League held its Annual General Meeting last weekend.
The branch met for lunch prior to the meeting and was joined by the AWL CEO, chairman of the board and branch liaison officer from head office.
It was a fun afternoon with laughter and friendship and a mutual love of animals. Members all have different reasons for belonging to the Animal Welfare League, apart from that love of animals, some of us enjoy organising fundraising events; some of us are fantastic at talking to the public, consoling a grieving animal owner or helping a young family choose a new pet.
The branch is lucky that some of members are excellent at being secretary of the branch, treasurer of the branch and administration is second nature.
Others prefer to sit at Moruya Market, Narooma Market, PetStock or at a Bunnings sausage sizzle, sell a few raffle tickets and chat to passers by about their pets.
Whatever your strengths, or even if you don’t think you have any, the branch would certainly welcome new members so please get in touch with them.
Once again, AWL Eurobodalla don’t have any dogs to re-home. They would love to find some carers for bigger dogs and would also like to find someone who would like to be a kitten carer. They pay for your expenses and it is a very rewarding thing to do.
They have eight kittens and several cattens and fully grown cats who would love a new home. If you can help or would like to join them, please call Elaine on 0410 016 612.
The AWL promotes responsible pet ownership and all our animals ready for adoption have been vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and de-sexed.
