Narooma Men’s Golf
Thursday, July 27 – A smallish Thursday field of 120 players enjoyed fine conditions, slowish greens and preferred lies to register good scores where the DSR was 72/71 and the ball competition went down to 34 points. In A Grade Laurie Holmes continued to play well and scored 41 points off a handicap of 8 to finish one point ahead of Terry O'Callaghan and two ahead of Paul Stokes who headed Brendan Warby on countback. In B Grade Gordon Roberts at last had the round he was threatening to score 44 points off his handicap of 17, six points ahead of Chris Hewitt and Ian Miller. In C Grade Andrew Vormeulen ensured he remained in the handicap manager's sights with 44 points off a handicap of 22, also six points ahead of Ross Giblett and Norm Watson. The nearest-the-pin winners were Geoff Lanham on 3, Paul Stokes on 9, Graham Cron from Catalina on 14 and Robert Sayers on 17.
Saturday, July 29 – An excellent Saturday field of 134 played Stableford to a consistent DSR of 72.In A Grade Bill Hannam had 40 points off a handicap of 8, closely followed on 39 by the consistent Laurie Holmes while Peter Ward headed Graeme Sawyer with 38 points on countback. In B Grade Les Campbell showed the benefits of a more leisurely life with a score of 38 points off a handicap of 14, one ahead of Colin Pratt and Anton Galloway with Gordon Roberts missing out on countback. In C Grade Vice Captain Steve Richards exchanged the heat of Bali to his best round for quite a while with the best score of the day, 42 points off a handicap of 23. Ron Bezzina took second place on countback from Blake Thornhill with 40points. The nearest-the-pin winners were Robbie Brown on 3, Grahame Cooke on 9, Susan Mullens from Roseville on 14 and Laurie Holmes yet again on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 33 points. – RGI

Monday, July 24 was a Death by Chocolate Stableford competition. Winner of Division 1 was D. Monteith with 38 points and the runner up was K. Lawrence with 36 points. Division 2 winner was M. Young with 43 points and the runner up was V. Spooner with 39 points. The Lucky Drive winners were J. McIntyre for Division 1, S. Chedwidden for Division 2 and P. Barron for Division 3. Balls went to 32 on a count back.
Wednesday, July 26 was our President's Trophy - Snakes and Ladders. The President's Trophy was won by M. Bennett with 2,125,764 points. The daily competition winner in Division 1 was C. Mathews with 40 points on a count back to J. Shevlin. Division 2 winner was M. Bennett with 44 points and runner up was D. Landells with 40 points. Nearest the Pin on the 3rd hole for Division 3 was P. Barron on the 17th hole for Division 2 was L. McCarthy. No one made the 17th for Division 1. Balls went to 33 on a count back.
Bermagui Men’s Golf
Thursday, July 27
A large field of 73 players took advantage of the perfect conditions for a Stableford competition, the final round of the mid-year eclectic, from the white tees..
The A grade winner today was Robert Bunett (hcp 15) with 38 points. Phil Christiansen (hcp 9) took runner up with 37 points, and Scott Richrdson (hcp 8) from Tura Beach placed third with 35 points.
Ray Cullen (hcp 21) won B Grade with a great score of 42 points, ahead of Paul Revill (hcp 16) who scored 38. Robert Shearing (hcp 18) took third place with 36 points
Philip Rowney (hcp 24), also from Tura Beach, won C Grade on a countback from Trevor Hemsted (hcp 22), both scoring 36 points. Len Murphy (hcp 22) placed third, just two points back on 34.
NTP's 6th Michael Derbyshire, 8th Rod Walters, 11th Jeff Nichol and 15th Scott Richardson.
Saturday, July 29
A relatively small field of 46 players contested a Stableford event, from the blue tees.
A Grade winner was Anthony Hart (hcp 6) with 36 points, with runner up, William McKenzie (hcp 14) scoring 34..
B Grade winner was John Stitchbury (hcp 20) on a countback from Peter Buttrey (hcp 17), who both scored 34 points.
George Skoutarides (hcp 23) took first in C Grade, with the best score of the day, making 37 points. Richard Stanton (hcp 23) was runner-up, with 33 points.
NTP's 6th Willow Lalao, 8th Peter Buttrey, 11th Anthony Hart and 15th George Skoutarides.

Bermagui Ladies Golf
On Saturday 10 ladies played and the winner with 39 pts was Trady Howarth. Runner up Val Schilling 33 pts. Balls to Michele Medelis 33 pts and Jo Buttrey 31 pts.
On Tuesday there were 9 ladies that went to play Tathra in the interclub challenge. Tathra won the day by 4 points. Best for Bermagui was Trady Howarth with 39 pts.
On Wednesday we tried out a couple of the new short course tees. NTP 6th Maggie Hayes 11th Norma Heddles
Div. 1. winner was Lynn Ponsford with 40 pts. Runner up Pat Jones 34 pts. Balls Lesley Ashton 34 pts and Cherie Rudneski 32 pts.
Div. 2. Winner Fiona Hanks 33 pts. Runner up Gloria Gay 33 pts. Balls Anne Browne 32 pts and Wendy Chaplin31 pts.
Bermi Hotel Social Golfers
A merry band of golfers gathered at the Bermagui Golf Course last Sunday to play our usual morning competition. The winner was Graeme Gunn with Charlie Bennett and coming 3rd on a count back from Shane Grebert was Jake Needs. The unluckiest player for the day was Carson Bennett. Nearest the pin winners were, on the 6th hole Shane “Kiwi”Rowe and on the 8th Len Murphy. We returned to the Bermi Hotel where lunch was supplied by the publican David Webster. The lucky player draw went to John Mikola with the badge draw going to Charlie Bennett.
Winners of our raffles were, Needs meat tray went to David Jenkins, the Triple 777 fruit and veggie tray went to local footballer Marcus Smith,the Bermagui Pizza parlour voucher went to Christine Till, and the bottles of wine donated by David Webster were won by Christine Till and Lloyd C.
