Local woman Cathie Muller is keen to start putting into practice everything she learnt at the free, two-day training course provided by the Primary Ethics team.
Ethics teaching from a non-religious viewpoint is offered at Narooma Public School as an alternative to faith based weekly scripture classes. The curriculum studies questions that children will face as they grow into responsible, thoughtful adults.
There is a big demand for these classes among the school community – and there are not enough teachers to meet the need. So if you are interested, why not volunteer to be an ethics teacher?
You will receive free training and support, and you will be joining an interesting group of people who care about the children in their community.
