A man who pleaded guilty to nine charges of dishonestly obtaining property will be sentenced next month after he completes drug treatment for ice addiction.

Christopher James Taylor, 25, of Bega also pleaded guilty in Narooma Local Court on Thursday, August 17 to a charge of learner driver not displaying L plates and two charges of not being accompanied by a driver.

According to police facts tendered to court, Taylor and an accomplice took a purse they found in a bag on Lewis Island, Narooma, and used credit cards to purchase items.

Taylor was also convicted in absentia in July of possessing a prohibited drug and equipment for administering drugs, after being found in possession of methamphetamine on June 8, 2017.

He also breached his bond in relation to previous convictions of larceny and possessing cannabis and oxycontin and failure to comply with condition of discharge or release.

Magistrate Doug Dick delayed sentencing Taylor until after he received drug treatment for ice addiction.

He will be sentenced in Narooma Local Court on September 14, pending completion of his drug treatment.
