Two brothers from Bermagui have played in the Batemans Bay Boars’ U11s grand final win in Canberra.
Owen and Hamish White had to commit to a lot of travel, with six games in Batemans Bay, one in Cooma, and seven in Canberra.
Coach Brendon Campbell said the two boys have been “great for the team”.
Younger brother Hamish scored the Boars’ first try.
Older brother Owen has played in the back row, as well as pitching in in the outside backs.
Owen’s incredible pace allowed him to score a 90m intercept try in the grand final when the Gungahlin Eagles were pressing the Boars’ line.
Captain Lachlan Collier said the boys had made themselves right at home in the team, and hoped to see them back next season.
