Surfers were greeted with consistent waves, warm wind and sunshine when the Dalmeny Boardriders held their September competition on Sunday at Duesburys beach.
As expected, the surf had some wobble from the afternoon nor'easter, however the sand bank in the corner still provided a great selection of waves for all divisions.
Spring is known for its windy days on the South Coast and Sunday was no exception.
The Dalmeny Boardriders are fortunate enough to have a great selection of local beaches to choose from, with Duesburys providing the best protection from the northerly wind on this occasion.
The groms kicked off the day, hitting the water at 8am and showing the dads on the beach how the waves needed to be surfed for Father’s Day.
