Captain Oldroy Park in Broulee was the venue for Eurobodalla Netball's finals last Saturday.
Bodalla club had two teams playing - the Bodalla Bullets(12s) and the Bodalla Bombshells (Inters 1).
Both teams played at the 12.30pm time slot so it was hard work for the spectators watching the two matches together.
Bodalla Bullets put in a huge effort against the Salty Peppers in the 12s Division. At halftime there was one point difference between the teams. The defence from both teams had been solid and it was reflected in the score. In the third quarter, the Peppers started to widen the gap.
Both teams dug deep and fought hard right until the end with the Salty Peppers ending up winning 29-13. Well done to both teams for their sportsmanship and classy netball.
The Bullets did their club proud. Well done girls on a great season. Thanks to Coach Michelle for all of her wonderful work with the girls this season.
In our other final the Bodalla Bombshells played Broulee Bay & Coast Plumbing. Both teams played 1st class netball from the outset. Defence was rock solid and it had to be, as both teams have great goal shooters who are consistantly accurate and also have the ability to do the seemingly impossible. Bodalla fought hard and dug deep to win 38-33. Awesome effort girls and congratulations... so proud of you all!
Next Saturday is grand final day at Captain Oldroy Park, Broulee. Bodalla have two teams playing in the Grand Finals. The Bodalla Pacers will play the Broulee Buterflies in the 10s Division and Bodalla Bombshells will play Broulee Blackmore Cleaning in Inters 1 Division. All the best in your matches next weekend girls ... GO BODALLA!
