THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28: A good field of 130 played in quite windy conditions with a resultant DSR of 71/72.
A Grade was taken out by Club Treasurer Phil Haynes who had a day out with 42 points off a handicap of 11, followed by Bill Durnan with 39 points and hard-working match official Barry Pateman who headed Scot Ker on countback with 37 points.
In B Grade Paul Ingamells continued the good day for match officials with 40 points off his handicap of 19 to finish two points ahead of his playing partner Ron Manly who filled second place on countback from Jackson Taylor.
C Grade was a battle of the longtime Narooma residents where Sid Dean finished one point ahead of Jim Young with his 43 points off a handicap of 28, while Bruce Day finished third with 39 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Scott Ker on 3, Justin Bennett on 9, Kevin Mitchell from Yowani on 14 and Colin Pratt on 17, while the ball competition went down to 33 points with 17 home.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30: Another good field of 131 players again faced windy conditions where the DSR emerged as a consistent 73.
In A Grade Tim Bunn from Cape Shanck prevailed with 40 points off his handicap of 12, followed by the consistent junior member Jackson Taylor with 38 points and Jason Andrew on 37 points.
B Grade was also taken out with 40 points, this time by Robbie Brown off a handicap of 19. Bill Baker broke a long series of "outs" to finish second with 38 points,while Matt Moore took third place one point further back on countback from Bernie Krueger and Yijun Zhou from Muirfield.
In C Grade a young golfer from Muirfield, Wen Zhou, had by far the best score of the day with 46 points off a handicap of 28, while Peter Kape finished second with 40 points and Sid Dean continued his good week with 39 points in third place.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Brian Brown on 3, Andrew Thompson on 9, Sid Dean on 14 and Ken Brown from Moruya on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 32 points.
Narooma Ladies
Monday 25th September was a Stableford round. The winner of was C. Fader in Division 1 with 38 points. Division 2 winner was S. Weber with 36 points on a count back. Nearest the Pin on the 3rd hole for Division 2 was S. Webber on the 9th hole for Division 3 was C. Hendra. Balls went to 35.
Wednesday 27th September was a Stableford round 5. Winner in Division 1 was J. Whyte with 37 points on a count back from J. Hotchkis. Winner of Division 2 was M. Hunt with 39 points and the runner-up was L. Gibbons with 36 points.
Nearest the Pin on the 3rd hole no one made the green for Division 1. M. Brown was winner on 9th hole for Division 2 and on the 14th hole the winner was H. McMillan. Balls went to 33 on a count back.
Tuross Head Vets
Wednesday’s game was an aggregate stroke secret partner’s event. The winner’s were – Ross MacAlpine & Peter McRae with a 66 net. Second place went to – Ann Ware & Jennifer Gray with a 67 net. In third place it was – Leonie Snodgrass & Andrew Gordon with a 68 net.
The Bradmans was awarded to – Chris Wratten & Rene Robertson and the Accuracy drive went to – Kath Crossling. Nearest the pins – fourth it was a tie between – Ray Downey & Kevin Dukes both (in the hole). The sixth was a very special hole for – Peter McRae, who had a hole in one, well done! seventh – Kay McLeod & Ross MacAlpine. Ball or chocolate went to – Graham Moore & Wall Williams – 68 net. Ron Hanlon & Teri Swanbury – 70 net. Noel Downey & Les Johanson, Len Rogers & Mike Kermode, Bruce Ware & Herb Muriwai – 71 net. Derek Hoare & Kay McLeod – 72 net. As Jennifer Gray was away last week, Captain Ian Miller presented her with her prize this week for being runner up in the ladies division club championships. Next week will be a two person stableford multiplyer event.

Results for Thursday 28 th September 2017: 66 players enjoyed a Par event.
The A grade winner was John Mills (hcp 12) with a score of plus 4. The runner up was Mick Carr (hcp 12) on plus 3. Then came Neil Rutherford (hcp 9) on plus 1. In B grade the win went to John Jessop (hcp 19) with plus 3. Then came Nick Stolk (hcp 18). on plus 1 and Arnold Watson (hcp 19) square with the card.
George Skoutarides (hcp 22) showed good form to win C grade with a best score of the day plus 6 then we had David Barbour (hcp 23) on plus 4 and Arthur Worthley (hcp 22) on plus 1. NTP’s 6th Mick Carr, 8th Bill Tyson, 11th Tom Boyd & 15th Bill McKenzie.
Results for Saturday 30th September 2017: 31 players teed off in a Stableford competition.
The A grade winner today was decided by countback to Warwick Moore (hcp 7) with 34 points. Runner up was Javana Fereti (hcp 5) also on 34. Arnold Watson (hcp 21) showed good form to win B grade with 39 points. Next was Ray Stephens (hcp 20) scoring 36.
Tom Boyd (hcp 24) came home with 39 points to win C grade shading Harry Cripps (hcp 24) on 35. NTP’s 6 th Warwick Moore, 8 th Javana Fereti, 11 th Ron Lye and 15 th Mick Carr.
Club News: Bermagui Legends Pro-Am. Here is your opportunity to play with a PGA Legend. On Monday 23 rd October and Tuesday 24 th October Bermagui will be hosting a round of the PGA Legends Tour and we currently have over 80 professional golfers registered to play. Shotgun starts on both days. There are great prizes to be won by men and lady amateurs. Entry forms available from the Bermagui Country Club office or website.

Bermagui Social Golfers
Last Sunday we played at the Bermagui Championship Golf Course. Overall winner was Graeme "Spud" Struthers from runner up Jim Bryan and third on account back from John Mickola was Carson Bennett.
After a meal back at the Bermagui Beach Hotel we held our presentations. Badge draw went to Mick Brown and the player's draw went to Carson Bennett and hacker of the day was Mick Brown. Nearest the pin on the 6th and the 8th was Carson Bennett. The winners of the raffle run to help the community were; the meat tray supplied by Needs Butchery was Jim Bryan with the fruit and veggie tray supplied by Triple7 going to Yvonne Bennett. Bermagui Pizza voucher was won by Glen Van Dyke and the bottles of wine donated by Luke Redmond the publican went to Charlie Bennett and Christine.
Golfers of any standard are welcome most Sundays at 9am at the Bermagui Golf Club. Next week due to the Golf Course being used for the Narmorgui Cup Competition we will be playing at Bega. Early start required so be ready from 7am pick-up.

Wednesday was the first round of the singles championships. Least putts Pat Jones 32. It was also the September monthly medal and the sponsor for this month was Brenda Whiffen and she won her own prize.
