The Dalmeny Quilters held a very successful Exhibition with so many beautiful quilts on display. One section had a “Mystery Quilts” on display.
These quilts had been made with directions for one block only, being handed out month by month. Each quilt, although having the same instructions, was interpreted by the quilters very differently and made a wonderful display.
Our challenge for the Exhibition was a Bag Challenge and this proved to be extremely varied. Cathy Pepper chose the winning bags and the overall winner was Irene Berry, second was Jennie Mathie and third was Sue Findlay.
Our two sisters, Helen Hennessy and Chrissi Moody took out the People's Choice for the two days with their absolutely spectacular quilts and second was Tracy Coomer and Lyle Mead.
The number of visitors paying a very small entry fee was quite significant and meant that we are now in a position to hand over a significant donation to our three chosen charities – Little Yuin Preschool, Eurobodalla Riding for the Disabled and Monty’s Café.
