The Kangarutha Track in Bournda NP is a beautiful bushwalk and we intended to walk it the other way, south to north this time with different views of coast and bush.
Our other bushwalk on Saturday, October 28, was the Tarourga Road part of Bodalla State Forest, just south of Potato Point Road.
This forest is easy to walk through, and we chose to follow a ridge down to Lake Brou which was full of water, and in most places the water was lapping the tree line. This meant that we could not walk the shoreline but had to climb over each ridge, till we found an old access track back to Tarourga Road.
We then followed Tarourga Road back to our cars and. Michael Mc Donagh was thanked for leading this interesting 11km bushwalk.
Upcoming bushwalks include Tuross Head, Bermagui headlands, Moruya Mining, Bithry Inlet to Middle Beach in Mimosa Rocks NP and Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens. Bushwalkers are reminded to put their names down for the Christmas Party to be held on the last Saturday in November.
