55 turn out for Boardriders’ competition

After missing their October monthly surf competition due to school holidays, the Dalmeny Boardriders turned out in full force with 55 competitors surfing Sunday's November Competition at Kianga Beach.

The swell didn't disappoint with some quality three-foot waves early in the day with a light offshore wind.

The wind did swing as the day progressed and the waves dropped off a little but the sun shone, the whales performed, the barbie roared and the coffee flowed.

The Longboarders started the day with the first heat in at 8am, taking advantage of some early clean sets on the high tide. This provided the first of a few upsets for the day which helps keep the competition interesting.

Next months competition is on Sunday, December 3 and we plan to head down to Club Narooma for an end of year Christmas catch up at Club Narooma after the surfing ends.

Results from Sunday:

Micro Groms - Asher Hoar

Under 13 Boys - Matt Driscoll

Under 18 Boys - Brandon Feledyk

Under 18 Girls - Crystal Davies

Open Women - Danielle Campbell

Over 45 Men - Jamie Keith

Open Longboard - Justin Black

Open Mens - Liam Hanigan
