The Links to Learning team from Narooma High School have just packed up 43 boxes of goodies, to send to children in Australasian Third World countries just in time for Christmas.
All the students involved would like to show their deep gratitude to those in the community that kindly contributed or donated to the project.
Julia Willson, program facilitator from the Southern Region Business Enterprise Centre, has been running Links to Learning at Narooma High for the past year.
“These girls are amazing,” Ms Wilson said. “They all took to the project known as Operation Christmas Child straight away. All of them were so passionate from the word go, and to make 43 boxes as well as raise the money to send them is a super achievement.”
Operation Christmas Child Eurobodalla area coordinator, Liz Fisher was visibly moved by the warmth, generosity and enthusiasm from the students.
“It gives me such a thrill when anybody, especially a group of such young students embraces the project with such gusto,” she said. “Thank you so very much Links to Learning girls, and to Narooma High for their support.”
A very special thank you to Woolworths Narooma and Kmart in Batemans Bay for their generous donations.
