Supporters of Narooma Community Choir enjoyed huge trivia night

Narooma Quota’s last trivia night of the year was also its largest as members of the public turned up in droves to support the Narooma Community Choir.

June Hemmingsen’s team won the event, outdistancing other front runners by a good margin after scores for the local questions were tallied.

Congratulations to the team members: June and Jan Hemmingsen, Warwick Huntsdale, Jan Rapley, John White, Diana Morgan, Keith Tiller and Nancy Currey.  The team donated their $100 prize to the choir.

Mandy Anderson’s team won the Squiggle Contest with their drawing, which was inspired by the night’s theme: “A Song in My Heart.”

Team members were: Mandy Anderson, Gilly Kearney, Adrienne Brennan, Mick Carroll, Brenda Payne, Bronwyn Sloan, John Sloan and Wayne Redman. The raffle prize was won by Noelene Selakovic.

Spokesperson for the Narooma Community Choir, Lynda Ord outlined how the group got started and how it continues to thrive.

She thanked Quotarians for hosting the event. “Your support is very much appreciated,’ she said. “And we all had such a good time.”

MC Rosemary Towers kept the participants laughing throughout the evening with musical jokes and obscure bits of information about singing.

Quota’s next Trivia Night will be held on February 16, 2018 when the beneficiary will be Eurobodalla Relay for Life.
