Southern Eurobodalla has dropped a tight game to top-side Tathra at Dalmeny Oval, going down by three wickets.
The home side batted first, and Jordan Dibden helped them to a fast start. He provided most of the scoring early on, with Nick Mason and Dean Friskin both falling for low scores.
Simon Mackie then came to the crease and threatened to build a match-winning partnership with Dibden. He raced to an important 50, but his wicket for 54 triggered a minor collapse in the lower order.
Thilan Walgamage was removed for five, Brendan Connor fell for six, and Jeet George was gone for a duck to complete the collapse. Hamish Willcox took 4/31 for the visitors, as they held the home side to 136.
The chase from Tathra was anchored by opener Peter Bennett, who scored an unbeaten 78 to lead his side to victory.
Southern Eurobodalla remains in fourth spot after the result, and will travel south to Merimbula next weekend.
