Join the community of Cobargo village and all of our friends as we celebrate all that is unique about our wonderful village and the communities around us.
The main street shops will be open with extra specials, launches, exhibition openings and more. Our local food outlets will have street food of all kinds. The event will be opened at 5pm by Bega Valley Shire Council mayor Kirsty McBain, who will also judge the shop front decoration competition.
The music will start with special guests, the Bairnsdale Secondary College Senior Band, then a variety of performers will busk in locations up and down the street.
And at 7.30pm, the Cobargo Rural Fire Service firetruck parade will sound in the switching on of the lights. Other highlights include the launch of the Cobargo Giving Tree for 2017, the opening of art exhibitions in both Black Wattle Gallery and The Lazy Lizard, drop in specials in Country K9 Parlour and South Coast Leather, a Christmas stall at Twig and Feather and new ranges launched at Ellie’s of Cobargo.
Community groups including the CWA and the Scouts will be there too and you might find an outdoor cinema! All the information is available via the CobargoUpdate Facebook page.
Cobargo Creators and the CTBA are working together again to coordinate and publicise the event. If it is at least as wonderful as last year it will be a night not to be missed, but we are expecting it to be so much better! See you there,
