The newly formed Moruya Red Door Theatre group this weekend is putting on “Peter Pan: The Eurobodalla Chapter” on Friday, December 8 at 7pm.
There is also a matinee on Saturday, December 9 and an evening show at 2pm.
This is a locally written play by the director, Linda Heald of Narooma.
This is the second production of the recently formed theatre group, following our staging of Hansel and Gretel, well a spoof of it anyway.
This is a community theatre through and through. The group has actors with up to 35 plays under their belts through to a couple making their debut.
A cast of 18, a four-piece live music support, a wonderful venue at the St.Marys Performing Arts Centre, Queen St Moruya, located at the Catholic primary school, a locally written play combining the joyful themes of Peter Pan and the South Coast.
The story so far: Hook has lost his ship and is seeking treasure in the shire, so he takes Wendy prisoner to await Pan and the treasure, meanwhile the locals begin to speak and dress as pirates as the search continues. And then...
A play written for both adults and children. A lot of fun as the play moves from Narooma, through Moruya and on into the bushranger territory.
