The two boys fought a spirited contest with Jamieson prevailing and getting the win.
He trains under the expert guidance of PCYC boxing coach and Narooma police officer Scott Wharfe, who was very pleased with his performance.
“Jake trained the house down for this fight and the win was thoroughly deserved,” Wharfe said.
“He had to cut weight for this contest, and is beginning to understand what it takes to succeed in this sport.
“Jake has a bright future and will fight again in the new year and have a crack at the NSW novice title next year.”
This was Jamieson’s third fight since joining the Narooma PCYC boxing program. He hails from Tuross Head.
PCYC Narooma boxing enquires can be made to Scott Wharfe at the Narooma police station on 4476 2044.
The PCYC boxing program at Narooma recently got some much needed support from local sponsors.
