Mollymook, in the second leg from Moruya Beach (South Head) to Coila Beach in Tuross Head, finished third and it’s the crew’s first ever marathon.
The race started in Batemans Bay on December 31 and will finish in seven days later at Eden.
The local crew, after the first leg in the open men’s, was fourth behind Bulli, Coogee and Long Reef.
The second leg of the marrathon had 25 surf boats making their way down the coast from Moruya Beach (South Head) to Coila Beach in Tuross Head.
It was an early start for the competitors, with some crews out on the water as early as 8am.
The boats faced choppy conditions in the early going, with a strong headwind eating into their race times.
The Bulli Open Men’s boat was the star of the day, hauling in a number of boats from earlier divisions to be the first across the line.
