The Narooma Australia Day committee has decided to hold the awards ceremony this year the night before Australia Day on Thursday, January 25 at 6pm at Club Narooma.

“The format is that we are holding the awards ceremony and formal part of the celebration the evening before at 6pm at Club Narooma,” convener Jenny Munro said.

“The weather has been fickle over the past few years and our committee decided to avail ourselves of the facilities at Club Narooma and not have to accommodate last minute contingencies.”

The Surf Club and Lions will still co-host the beach breakfast down at Narooma’s main surf beach on Friday, January 26 as per usual.

Meanwhile, it’s not too late to nominate individuals, events and organisations worthy of recognition at this year’s Australia Day ceremony at Narooma.

Jenny Munro is the convener of the 2018 Australia Day Committee and nominations can be sent to jenny@jmunro.com.au
