With entries flooding in from all over Australia, the ten day event held in March is set to be another record-breaker.
Taking advantage of the spectacular headland in Bermagui and a beautiful indoor space, Sculpture Bermagui has become one of the top five flagship events of the region.
“It’s so exciting that this event is growing and gaining recognition with sculptors all over Australia,” curatorial director Pauline Balos said “I particularly like that we are able to encourage and showcase the work of emerging artists as well.”
The sculptures presented at Sculpture Bermagui are of international standard, with works in 2017 presented by award winning sculptors such as John Payne, Ross Cameron, Barak Zelig and Vlase Nikoleski.
Entries for this year’s exhibition include works by William Maguire with a work in forged steel, and Boyd MacMillan will present his painted aluminium sculpture.
Vlase Nikoleski and Barak Zelig will make a welcome return with their works in bronze with stainless steel and corten steel respectively.
The exhibition opens on March 9 and runs through until March 18. Full details available at www.sculpturebermagui.com.au
