MACS took over operation of the Narooma visitor centre from the council back in 2016 and has been handling the day-to-day operation ever since.
MACS committee members Diane Pye, Christine Macauley AM and Judy Glover were present to represent the society and explain their operation.
It was a “meet-and-greet” session and a good opportunity to informally chat about local issues affecting locals and visitors, a society spokesperson Rosy Williams said.
“The outcomes were to establish communication and to show the layout of the visitor's centre managed by MACS, which has plenty to offer both visitors and locals,” Mrs Williams said.
The council administrators also admired the art and craft in the MACS Gallery display area at the centre.
MACS volunteer Diane Pye and council’s tourism marketing director Kerrie-Anne Benton enjoyed checking out the Lighthouse Museum's features, including the original light from the Montague Island Lighthouse.
Narooma Visitor Information Centre volunteer Bill Martin told the council representatives he enjoyed helping visitors find out what's on offer locally.
Everyone is welcome to become a Friend of the centre to "meet and greet" holiday makers.
