SHOW CIRCUIT: 2018 Cobargo Showgirl Sally Hoyer says the experience is something she highly recommends.

The 2018 Cobargo Show senior showgirl, dairy hand Sally Hoyer, took to the microphone at Saturday’s official opening and encouraged other women in the area to enter.

“I want to encourage any other girl that would like to be a showgirl to get involved,” she said. “Get in and have a go. You could go anywhere with it.”

The ex-Narooma High School student said  the experience had helped to build her confidence and had also inspired her to dream big.  “I met previous winners at the presentation who had won all these scholarships,” she said.

Ms Hoyer is also inspired by other women in the dairy industry who are often under-recognised. This included women working in the industry as well as all the women who support their husbands.

“Women are so important,” she said. “There needs to be a bigger focus on women in the industry.”

Ms Hoyer will now compete in the zone three finals in Bungendore in March.
