Car jumper – A motorist stopped her car, beeping her horn after coming across a person lying on road at the corner of Mort Avenue and Thomson Parade, Dalmeny at 5.05pm on Friday, February 16.

The young female then jumped onto the car bonnet. The driver drove away returning with her husband, only to be confronted by the girl who pulled down her pants and flashed her buttocks. Police found an 18-year-old female nearby, charging her with offensive behaviour and malicious damage.
Highway accidents – Heavy rainfall on Monday was deemed responsible for two car accidents on the Princes Highway north of Narooma.
Police and paramedics were called to an accident near the Kianga highway bridge at 10.10am after a southbound small Toyota 4WD hit a tree. A female was assessed at the scene, but did not require transport to hospital.
Then at 10.25am, emergency services were called to another accident on the Princes Highway near the Dalmeny timber mill after a Toyota utility being driven north, aquaplaned and rolled over. On board was a Shoalhaven couple heading home after a holiday.
A man was freed after being trapped for a short time but the Narooma VRA rescue squad was required to cut free from the vehicle a 55-year-old woman experiencing neck and shoulder pain. Both were then transported by ambulance to Moruya Hospital.
Contra-flow traffic conditions were put in place to allow motorists to pass in both directions. Narooma police urge to drivers to slow down in heavy rain and to drive to the conditions.
Capsicum spray – Police investigating reports of intoxicated persons on the Princes Highway, Narooma at 10pm on Saturday, February 17 located two males who ran from them. One male when caught, allegedly charged police and was sprayed with capsicum spray. The 20-year-old Bodalla man was charged with resisting arrest and using offensive language.
Rails stolen – Police are calling for witnesses after a large quantity of stockpiled guard rails worth $3000 was stolen from Dignams Creek highway project between 2pm on Saturday, February 10 and 6.45am Monday.
Gary still missing – There have been no developments in the case of 62-year-old Garry Verrall, who was last seen leaving his unit in Narooma on the morning of Wednesday, January 24, saying he was going to the Tilba area and would return by the next day.
Police would still like to hear from anyone who saw Mr Verrall in the Narooma area or gave him a lift. Anyone with information, should call Narooma Police on 4476 2044 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Cannabis found – Police received a report about a man on the Princes Highway at Narooma at 9.20pm on Sunday, February 18. A 27-year-old Narooma was located and a search revealed a small amount of cannabis. He was given a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug.
Scam warnings – Narooma police and a local computer technician have warned local residents about ongoing computer scams involving the theft of identity. A local person had their identity stolen to enter into various mobile phone contacts.
There have also been reports of people being by called by people on the Indian sub-continent claiming to be from Telstra and asking for access to their server and bank account. Accounts are then accessed and in some cases, thousands of dollars have been lost.
