About 70 homes and more than 30 caravans and cabins were lost in the blaze and entire communities have been evacuated.
Childcare worker Rebecca Harrison has championed the Dalmeny apeal.
“Several homes have been lost and the local school damaged,” she said.
“We are asking for your help to donate resources to help other families effected by this horrible disaster.”
Ms Harrison is seeking:
- Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, ladies sanitary items, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunscreen etc.
- Children’s items: lunch boxes, drink bottles, back packs, hats etc
- Baby items: nappy wipes, disposable nappies, formula, bottles etc.
- Stationery items: pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, colouring books, textas etc.
Clothing and bedding is not required at this stage.
Drop items to the centre at 16 Maculata Circuit, Dalmeny.
