Senior Constable John Clarke of the NSW police talked about internet and phone scams and advised on burglar-proofing your home.

He also distributed Next of Kin forms, to register the details of the person you would like police to call in an emergency.

Ambulance Service manager Craig Potts outlined how to deal with emergencies like heart attacks and strokes. He encouraged people to call 000 even if they aren’t sure if their situation is an emergency or not. If it is, the sooner the ambulance can get to your home, the better. He demonstrated a new piece of equipment, the Emergency Lift Cushion, which is a great help to local paramedics.

Naturopath Jacqui Berry shared healthy eating and lifestyle choices to help lower cholesterol and reduce the pain of arthritis.

Fitness specialist Nancy Casu had participants up and moving with fun tips on bringing exercise into their daily routines. Narooma High School hospitality and food technology students provided a healthy lunch.

This is the third year of this event, which coincides with Quota Cares Month. The mix of presenters was especially popular this year, and the club intends to hold another such event in March 2019.
