The group focused on finding the plaque where the old Kianga Public School was located, as well as finding more gold-mine shafts.
Apex Park was the starting point of the 10-kilometre bushwalk, as the group used boardwalks to Mill Bay and along Williamson Drive.
They then made their way down to the old mill station and flotation cells feeding the tailings area.
Next, they climbed the ridge which offered stunning views of Wagonga Inlet and the eucalypt and acacia forests behind the gold quarry.
They then followed the walking tracks to discover the old Kianga Public School site with its two level area where the buildings and outside area used to be.
The group had lunch there, then walked up Rifle Range Road back to Apex Park. Colin and Sheryl Cooper led this bushwalk.
There will be no bushwalk on Thursday, April 26, as many members will be at the funeral of John Ogg. Ogg gave a lot of his time and energy to the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers.
