A video screening on Sunday, April 22 and a petition circulating nearby secured the necessary support, without any hard sell tactics, Mr Dunn said.
“Even with this laid back attitude we achieved more than 30 signatories whilst in the vicinity of the NATA Rotary markets,” he said.
“We achieved our goal, namely to obtain the necessary support to have a public film showing of the film Chariots of Fire at the Kinema.
“Thanks as always to the public spirit of community and warmth and generosity of the Griffiths at the Kinema
“The film is now scheduled for Sunday, May 6, in the small theatre.
“Donations of $5 per head at the door, will be donated to the Bega Valley Shire Mayor's fund for the victims of the Tathra fire.”
