The pump was torn from the ground in the incident.
Garage proprietor Kalum Nalaka witnessed the crash.
“The car just lost control and crashed into the petrol pump,” he said.
Bodalla Rural Fire Service (RFS) group officer, Ritchey Sealy, said the crew was almost on the scene as the accident happened.
“It was a busy day for us; we had been working on three burns and were just returning to the station,” he said.
Witnesses said a car parked on the other side of the pump was also hit, as was a parked motorcycle.
“Fortunately the bike rider was inside the shop at the time,” Mr Sealy said.
“The woman in the car was just getting ready to leave.
“Ambulance officers attended the scene, but there were no major injuries.”
Mr Nalaka said it could have been extremely dangerous and it was lucky no one was seriously hurt.
“People will be unable to buy fuel for three or four days while the damaged pump is replaced,” he said.
“But the shop is still operating as normal.”
