Narooma CWA thanks those who supported the Mother’s Day raffle. First: M Bender, Bodalla; second: Sue Shelley, Narooma. If you like to sing or play the fool come on Tuesday to the CWA rooms and join the choir from 1.30–2.30pm or act up with drama from 2.30-3.30pm. Are you crafty or want to see/learn a new one? Friendly members with skills meet fridays from 10am-noon. Many do award-winning work and like to show others how they could too. Phone Joanne King 4476 7461.

Vinnies’ Treasure – Congratulations to Beth Ball, Kianga, who won the Mothers’ Day basket. She will enjoy lovely items kindly donated by volunteers and customers. Our volunteers are not the only treasures at Vinnies. There is a glass cabinet full of donated watches, jewellery and vintage goods. Attractive and functional watches from $5 to $10; beautiful genuine opal pieces – brooches, pendants and rings, Wedgwood plates and other china. Why not see what you can find?
Animal Welfare League reports many litters of kittens have been abandoned this year, making desexing before re-homing pets more important than ever. The Eurobodalla Branch has desexing vouchers. Our Pet Poster asks for volunteers to join us in the fun and satisfaction of finding homes for abandoned pets. We see many dogs and cats becoming a happy part of pet-friendly families. We put on trivia and theatre nights, sausage sizzles, raffles, stalls, A Tailwagger’s Walk, and more, with members from the Eurobodalla shire sharing these tasks. Some helpers simply do a task once a year, or become carers only for a mother cat with kittens, or offer to care for only small dogs, with all expenses covered. Tasks are so varied we can find a use for any offers of help. Phone 0410 016 612.
