Walker show, History meeting

Alison Walker is proud to present a display of her works and those of other Aboriginal artists at the Umbarra Cultural Centre, Akolele, as part of River of Art.

“Please make time to come by Umbarra and have a chat to Alison,” Gabrielle Powell, of South East Arts, said. “She has created a colourful display of originals that illustrate Aboriginal stories and history. Jason Campbell's carved wooden story panels are also on display.”

Historical Society heads to Corunna: This Sunday’s meeting (May 20) of Narooma Historical Society takes place at 2pm at Corunna Cemetery and the site of the old Corunna Wesleyan Church. Cemetery committee members Harry Bate, Lee-Anne Eddie and Susan Pryke will talk about the recent restoration of graves and the interpretation signs now installed on the site. Please bring a chair, a thermos and if you can a contribution to afternoon tea. Everyone is welcome. Corunna Cemetery is on the Old Highway, before the bridge.
