Graham Peachey is part of a group that is pushing for key infrastructure and facility upgrades at the oval.
Peachey believes approximately 6000 people use the oval every year, a number including sporting clubs, schools, and recreational groups.
One of the main problems facing Bill Smyth Oval is the lack of a specific change room for the women’s sides that use the oval.
This means many boys and girls teams use the same clubhouse with supervision from coaches and parents, and girls are forced to change in the toilets.
The cause is getting support from major players, as the Eurobodalla Council has pledged support for the endeavour.
Eden-Monaro MP Mike Kelly has also pledged $1.5 million should the Labor Government win the next election.
