Former Yowrie local, Brooke Allison has placed in the state preliminary finals and now has a chance of becoming 2018 Miss World.

Ms Allison was a student at Cobargo Public School and Narooma High School and was a keen member of Cobargo and Narooma Swim Clubs and Bermagui Surf Lifesaving Club having represented the district at regional and state levels.teenager.
Miss World is a pageant where contestants are judged on personality, evening wear and Q&A and in the process they raise money for charity internationally.
Brooke’s mother, Felicity Allison said competition was tough with the judges having the difficult decision of choosing which NSW beauties would be chosen to go through to the finals.
“She entered Miss World Australia for its focus on encouraging and inspiring women around the world to live a compassionate and humane lives and to raise much needed funds through Miss World Australia with all proceeds going to the children’s charity, Variety.
“Brooke is now focusing on her fundraising duties and we as a community can help Brooke raise the much needed funds for the children’s charity by donating as little as $2 each to help Brooke reach her target of $10,000,” Ms Allison said.
