Fourteen hikers walked along Punkalla-Tilba Road, enjoying the extensive farmland views in the beautiful Punkally Creek Valley.
A steady climb took the group out of the valley, where they hiked for four kilometres before having morning tea at the junction of Armatage and Engine.
They then made their way along Tebbs Road, before following an old fire trail across Olsons Creek.
The group then made their way back to Engine Road, where they continued along Scenic Drive until Punkalla Bridge. Elaine Cuthbert and Maggie Finch led the walk.
The group will return to the area on July 7 when the follow Shingle Hut Road as part of their winter program.
Saturday was our Annual General Meeting, where Heather Ferguson was presented with a life membership badge.
She joins Jan Thomas, Maggie Finch, and Michael Mc Donagh as active life members. These four life members are all active walk leaders and committee members.
The winter program is on the club’s web site http://www.dalmenynaroomabushwalkers.info, along withmore information about the club.
