A field of 124 players enjoyed excellent conditions where the DSR emerged at 72/71. In A Grade Neil Towers emerged victorious in registering 41 points off his handicap of 13, two points clear of Matthew George and three clear of John Breust. In B Grade Tony Hunt continued to enjoy his return to form with 39 points off his handicap of 20 to win by one point from Tony Cobcroft. Bob Bennett took third place with 38 points on countback from Frank Jakubowski. In C Grade Denis Davies recorded the best score of the day with 42 points off his handicap of 33 to win by five points from Wayne McMillan who headed Geoff Broadfoot on countback on 37 points. The nearest-the-pin winners were Colin O'Sullivan on 3, John Guyver on 9, Robert Dunn on 14 and Terry O'Callaghan on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 33 points.
SATURDAY, MAY 26
An excellent field of 130 players teed off in the second round of the Annual Par competition where the DSR emerged at a consistent 71. In A Grade Terry O'Callaghan came out on top with a score of plus 2 off his handicap of 13, followed by Mitch Jeffery on plus 1 and Bill Durnan on square. B Grade saw the best score of the day where Chris Eardley enjoyed the benefits of good health as well as a healthy handicap in registering a score of plus 5 off his handicap of 20. Mike Shevlin followed closely behind on plus 4 while Andrew Vormeulen took third place on plus 2. C Grade was the province of visitors where Don Helmore from RMC won on countback from Gordon Lymbery from Nowra with a score of plus 4 off his handicap of 32. Greg Jennings, also from Nowra, took third place on plus 1. The nearest-the-pin winners were Robert Sayers on 3, Ron Manly on 9 and Josh Campbell from Murrumbidgee on both 14 and 17, while the ball competition went down to all on minus 2.
Narooma Ladies
Monday, May 21 was a Stableford Event whereby the ladies could choose to play either the Pink or Yellow Course.
The Winner on the Pink Course was Meridie Banson with 35 points and Runner up was Jayne Hotchkis with 28 points. Balls went to 28 points.
The Yellow Course Winner was Jenny Walker with 39 points and Runner up with 37 points was Tina Wilson.
Balls went to 33 points ocb.
On Wednesday, the ladies played a Stableford Competition and the Winner of Division 1 was Dorelle Monteith with 37 points and Runner up was Maddie Robinson with 34 points ocb. The Division 2 Winner was Mary Young with 42 points and Runner up with 37 points ocb was Maureen Casswell. The NTP Winners were: Marion Brooks on 9th Hole for Div 2 and Mary Young on 14th Hole for Div 3. Balls went to 33 points.
Narooma Lady Golfers entered 3 teams (1xDiv 1 and 2x Open Div) in Pennants this year.
In the Open Division, the Narooma 2 Team are the Winners of the Northern Zone and now play Bega (the winners of the Southern Zone) in the Finals Playoff at Bermagui on Friday, June 1. The Narooma 1 Team finished Runners up. Congratulations and well done ladies, it has been some time since Narooma has done so well in Pennants. Good luck to Narooma 2 in the Finals Playoff on Friday.

Results for Thursday, May 24 - Stableford
The A grade winner today was Tony Crome (hcp 14) with 41 points. Runner up was Lindsay Sharp (hcp 12) on 39 and Denis Myers (hcp 14) third on 37. Dave Webster (hcp 20) put in a stellar performance for a clear win in B grade with a best score of the day - 45 points – which included his first ever hole in one. Acing the par 3 eighth hole. Next was Peter Buttrey (hcp 21) on countback to Michael Derbyshire (hcp 21) both scoring 39 points.
James Bryan (hcp 31) finished with 40 points to win C grade one shot clear of Peti Fereti (hcp 33) on 39 points. Mark Thomas (hcp 34) had 36 for third.
Results for Saturday, May 26
As a forerunner to the Men’s Golf AGM we teed off for a 4 ball Ambrose competition. In a tour de force performance the team of Bill Tyson, son Andrew Tyson, Paul Rumble and Greg Cummins stormed home for a clear win scoring net 55.38 off their combined handicap of 8.62.
In a close struggle, runner up went to the team of Peter Daykin, Geoff Coulon, Ian Reid and Wayne Buick who played off a combined handicap of 10.75 and returned with a score of 57.25 net.
Guy Lingard, Sean Lingard, Paul Tight and Shane Grebert were close behind for third place with their 57.62 net off a combined handicap of 9.38.
Club News
Saturday, June 2 will be the Monthly Medal round sponsored by the Byrne family. It will also be the 3rd and final round of our Club Championships.
Thursday, June 7 will be a 2 man aggregate (both scores added).

Bermagui Ladies
Two ladies went to the Bombala Open on Saturday and Jo Buttrey got runner up with 74 nett. Jan Heaver won a ball.
There was a stableford game played on Wednesday. NTP 6th Sandy Chamberlin. 11th Annette Irvine.
Div.1. Winner Barb Stolk 34 pts. Runner up Maggie Hayes 32 pts. Balls to Jo Buttrey 32 pts, Lynn Ponsford 31 pts and Kim Collingham 30 pts.
Div.2. Winner Pam Cowderoy 29 pts. Runner up Annette Irvine 28 pts. Balls Lynette Manton 27 pts, Irene Putaansuu 27 pts and Fiona Hanks 26 pts.
Bermagui Social Golfers
A merry band of golfers headed off to Tuross Head in our bus and as is usual at this time of the year it was a cool morning which had turned into a beautiful sunny day by the time we arrived. The Tuross Country Club staff could not have been more helpful to ensure we had a good game of golf. We played an ambrose event and the winning team being, Charlie Bennett, Michael Brown, and Jim Bryan.
NTP winners was Mal LeComte on 4th and on the 6th was Glen Van Dyke. After a drink or two at the Club we had a BBQ lunch with tasty beef sausages and spicy pork sausages supplied by Zak Needs Butchery.
We had an impromptu meeting where we agreed to donate $1000 to the BMX Park in Cobargo.

Moruya Saturday Golfers
The Moruya Saturday Golfers played an Individual Single Stableford Event with the following results.
A Grade : 1st Michael Flynn with 36 nett on C/B; 2nd Allan Cowie with 36 nett; 3rd Roo Foran with 35 nett on C/B
B Grade: 1st Sue Wallensky with 36 nett; 2nd Chris Blewitt with 35 nett; 3rd Dave Cummins with 34 nett
C Grade: 1st Ronny Jefferies with 35 on C/B; 2nd Ron Richards with 35 nett; 3rd Kym Batt with 34 nett
Golden Shot was won by Peter Elliott. NTPs 6th Hole: Roo Foran, Ray McDonnell, Ronny Jefferies. 10th Hole: Tony Dean, Stephen Fletcher, Robert Rohweder. 12th Hole: Dee Meek, Kye Parkes, Kym Batt. Ball Rundown went to 30 on C/B.
Tuross Head Country Club
Another fine golfing morning at Tuross Head and Greg Smith took full advantage of the conditions, winning the Saturday stableford competition, with a score of 36 points.
Bob Hay and Colin Houghton filled second and third spots, both also scoring 36 points, but being forced to fill the minor placings on a countback.
Bruce Ware's 35 points won the remaining award spot.
An Irish 4 Ball team competition was held in conjunction with the single stableford event. This was won by Steve O'Shea, Ian Lawson, Bob Hay and Bruce Cleeve with 85 points.
Nearest the pins were won by: A grade golfer Paul Ferguson with 3.05m on the 4th hole; Bruce Lidbury was best on the 6th with 2.95m and Ian Lawson was awarded the 7th with 2.69m. B grade player John Phyland was closest on the 4th hole with 4.17m. Peter Nikolic won the 6th with 5.86m and Wayne Fullerton the 7th with 6.46m. Peter Garn was best of the C grade division with 6.50m on the 4th hole and Roger Chappell won the 6th with 2.65m.
Players are reminded there is a major working bee on Monday, June 4 and helpers are asked to nominate if they can help.
Thursday's mixed medal stableford competition was won by Peter Garn with 41 points ahead of Ian Kingston and Glen Shearer both on 38 points. Allen Gannon scored 37 points for the remaining award position.
Nearest the pins were won by Ron Rogers on the 4th hole, Dave Gray on the 6th and Colin Houghton won the 7th.
