The first walk on Thursday, May 30 was along Mugga Ridge Road on the western side of Mount Gulaga (Mt Dromedary).
Nineteen hikers took on the eight-kilometre walk through the old, red ironbarks, or mugga ironbarks.
The main enjoyment was tackling the hard mountain slopes, and twice crossing the upper reaches of Reedy Creek and its many small streams.
Jan Thomas, Amanda Marsh, and Michael Mc Donagh found the old trails on the border of Bodalla State Forest, and made this bushwalk a highlight for the club.
The second walk on Saturday, June 2 saw eight bushwalkers explore the eastern shore of Lake Brou.
The group started from Potato Point, then made their way past Jemisons Beach and Jemisons Point before reaching Lake Brou.
They then followed the shoreline towards Lake Tarourga. The changing vegetation along the lake was very noticeable, and made the walk through this part of the Bodalla State Forest very enjoyable. Michael Mc Donagh led the walk.
