The CD is titled “The Six Pack” but fans will be delighted to discover a little extra.
The recording, in fact, packs a punch with seven songs written by local singer/songwriter Glenn "Mongrel" Mood and performed by Glenn and fellow band member Bob "Good Boy" Mettam.
Bob explains seven songs were included for compassionate and medical reasons, because – after a six-pack – one sometimes needs a "hair of the dog"!
Glenn and Bob are highly experienced and competent musicians.
Both have been involved with recording music previously, and would especially like to thank Dan Effraemson for the fantastic job he did in producing and mixing the CD.
Glenn is a well-known local identity who has been playing in both Sydney and local bands for more than 40 years. Bob played for many years in bands based around Canberra starting in the late 60s, studied musicianship at the School of Music.
He taught guitar before moving to the South Coast six years ago.
The pair got together about 18 months ago in retirement to continue their love of playing both original music and well-known covers, and have been gigging regularly since then.
Their most recent appearance was in the Narooma National Busking Championship where they achieved third place in the Open Division People's Choice category and were the highest placed local Open act.
"Two Dogz Plucking" would like to invite everyone to Lynch's Hotel on June 9th for FREE ENTRY to the CD launch, where copies of the CD will be available at the bargain price of only $10.
You will also enjoy a fun night with good company, a chance to win 2DP merchandise, and live music starting from 7:30pm. The CD will also be available from their gig at the Bodalla Dairy Shed on Sunday, June 10 from 12:30pm.
