The Shooting Stars played amazingly against the Mexican Waves, going down 6-3 in a very tight game. One of the Shooting Stars, Lily Mahony, was named player of the match, and did exceptionally well in the circle, defending and shooting like a champion. Captain Topaz Dudley also impressed in the mid-court.
Everyone played smoothly, and worked extremely well as a team. All the girls should be proud of their efforts, and how far they have come since the start of the season.
The Narooma Comets came up against Broulee in a late afternoon fixture. The game was played in tough conditions, with strong winds and a light rain falling.
It was a close game for the first three quarters, before the Narooma Girls pulled away in the final quarter to win 24-18.
Luka Hutcheson and Leah Westoll were particularly accurate under the hoop and Angie Puglisi played extremely well in defense.
