Felicity’s star on the rise with country music academy spot

The Sapphire Coast Anglican College student’s talents featured at the recent That’s Entertainment variety night at the college, but she is destined for much bigger things with the course set to show selected students all there is to know about the music industry.

Held annually during the winter school holidays, 23 students from New South Wales, Queensland, New Zealand, South Australia and Victoria will spend a week at Calrossy Anglican School.

For most of them, this will also mean school will be back in for their parents and carers who accompany them throughout the course and attend a business and industry course of their own.

Making up the 23 students are nine boys and 14 girls, with 14 from NSW, six from Queensland, and one each from New Zealand, South Australia and Victoria. Their ages range from 11 to 18.

The academy has seen the likes of Jessica Mauboy, 2017 The Voice winner Judah Kelly, Sam and Brooke McClymont, The Sunny Cowgirls, Sara Storer and many more.

Felicity, 14, experienced her first Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2017, which exceeded all her expectations and strengthened her desire to become a country artist.

She enjoys performing covers, but loves even more to write and share her own originals.
