The Under 10s won 22-14 but the Under 12s were defeated by two points with a final score of 10-12.
The Girls International League Tag Team were dominant with a 22-4 win, as were the Girl’s Mod League tag team winning 36-12.
The Under 14s fought hard to win 30-22 with a try scored in the last 45 seconds of the game to keep them at the top of the ladder.
The Under 16’s also came out victorious with the final score Narooma 22 to Batemans Bay 18.
This week’s feature team are the Under 10s coached by Brendan Constable. The team has been playing some tough football this year now that they are on a larger field with 11 players. They won the Bibbenluke Carnival, made the semi-finals at the Bega Carnival and are currently at the top of the ladder. The highlight of the year so far for the team has been running out of the sheds.
Player Profiles
Jordyn Holzhauser: Great speed and a versatile player. Gives plenty of effort each week and has a fantastic tackling technique.
Jake McDonald: First year of footy with the Devils and improving every week. His passing game and attacking skills have definitely developed as the season progresses.
Billy McLaren: Has an awesome sidestep and is relishing his role in dummy-half. Scores plenty of tries and has definitely improved his defence this season.
Riley Hastie: A pocket rocket! When he starts stepping through the defensive line he is hard to get a hold of.
Clayton Bailey: CJ is taking the ball up well through the middle of the ruck and has improved his line running this season.
Hunter McDonald: The leader of our pack. Always takes the ball up hard. His defence has been tough and he has scored plenty of tries.
Johnny Constable: Johnny is the team’s organiser. He is competitive and doesn’t stop working in attack and defence.
Cooper Matters: Our strongman, the tougher the game the tougher he becomes.
Riley Almond: Riley’s tackling in defence and running in attack has been really strong. Does a great job holding our defence together out wide.
Kyler Mackie: Makes plenty of strong runs and his defence is outstanding.
Colt Croser: Improving every week and is guiding the team well. Continuing his good form with strong running of the ball and excellent tackling.
Zac Van Weerdenburg: A big forward with great hands and footwork, making plenty of line breaks.
Brett McDonald: Brett has fitted into the U10 system really well. He has clocked up plenty of kilometres so far this season carrying water and the tee. We have a high performance team managing his work load to enable his body to see-out the season.
