The low score doesn’t really tell the story, as the girls showed great team work and skill, and controlled the ball for a majority of the game.
Noumea Blessington scored the only goal in the middle of the first half with a well placed pass from the right wing.
Narooma had about six other shots on goal during the game, but just couldn’t quite find the back of the net. It was a fantastic effort by all the players.
The South Coast division of the State Knockout started with 66 teams and is now down to eight teams remaining.
Narooma has two big games to win to make it to the championship final. Their quarterfinal match will be against Sussex Inlet sometime in late July or early August.
Cheer the girls on in their march to the State Championship! Go Narooma!
