James describes himself as a 20-year old insomniac who grew up on the East Coast of Victoria, writing a dismantled catalogue of folk songs.
During his teens James began playing with different lineups, gathering a small following of fans before he decided to head for the big smoke to establish his solo career.
James Mcq’s defiant and thoughtful writing, shared with an intimate and disarming on-stage charisma has continually won over punters around the nation and it was no different on Saturday night.
Pub punters said, James Mcq played his own songs and he was very good.
“He also put his own slant on a number of covers and had people up and dancing.”
James Mcq has another gig on Saturday night playing at the Quarterdeck bar in Narooma, kicking off at 6.30pm.
Entertainment at the Quarterdeck on Saturday night is not ticketed, so why not pop along, enjoy a drink or two and listen to James Mcq’s liberating melodies that he shares with an intimate and disarming on-stage charisma.
