Up for discussion are potential upgrades to recreation facilities per the council’s Recreation and Open Space Strategy and the draft Mogo Village Commercial Centre Development Control Plan, which is on public exhibition.
The Recreation and Open Space Strategy has reclassified Mogo Sporting Oval a Local Recreation Park.
“Council’s recreation services team is looking forward to hearing the community’s ideas on possible designs, layout and features of playground equipment, community activities, toilets, barbecues and park furniture,” a council spokesperson said. “Another action is to upgrade picnicking facilities and investigate options for a multipurpose play element at John Street Reserve.”
Council’s strategic planning officer will also be at the event to answer questions around the new draft Mogo Village Commercial Centre Development Control Plan. The draft plan is being developed to keep Mogo’s commercial centre consistent with the village’s historic character.
It has been developed in response to requests by Mogo’s business community and is available via the council’s website www.esc.nsw.gov.au/publicexhibition until Monday, September 17.
The information stall will be held at John Street Reserve, Mogo between 10am and 1pm.
