The Narooma business owner has invited NAB to attend the community meeting he and Phil Constable organised at Club Narooma, from 6.30pm on Friday.
“We are expecting NAB to attend,” Mr Hextell said.
However, a spokesperson for NAB told the Narooma News bank representatives would not be attending the meeting, but was engaging with the community in other forums.
Mr Hextell said it would be a formal and minuted affair: “We want the community to have the chance to ask their questions, but in the right way.”
Mr Hextell said Bega MP Andrew Constance would attend. A spokeswoman for the Member for Eden-Monaro said Mike Kelly was unable to attend but would continue to follow the situation with interest.
