An investigation has commenced following the alleged armed robbery of a supermarket in Dalmeny on Monday night.

Police said a man armed with a knife entered a supermarket on Mort Avenue, Dalmeny, shortly before 6pm on August 20.
He allegedly threatened a male staff member and demanded money and cigarettes.
The employee complied and handed the man cash and cigarettes before he ran from the store.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Officers from South Coast Police District have commenced inquiries.
The man is described as being about 185cm tall, aged in his 30s and wearing dark clothing with a balaclava.
