A good Thursday field of 131 players enjoyed fine conditions and a resultant DSR of 71. In A Grade a countback favoured Graeme Sawyer with 40 points off his handicap of 13 over Chris Hewitt. Mark Elmasri took third place one point further adrift. In B Grade three players finished on 42 points and the countback determined Clive Williamson , handicap 15, as the winner. Gary Leahy and Bernie Krueger filled the minor placings. In C Grade again a countback was needed to decide the winner where John Hasler scored 41 points off his handicap of 25 to head Ian Hamilton , with Greg Underwood one point further back in third place. The nearest-the-pin winners were John Breust on 3, Ian Miller on 9, Simon Carr on 14 and Warick Minett on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 34 points.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
118 players teed off for a Stableford round where the DSR was again a consistent 71. After winning B Grade on Thursday Clive Williamson did the same thing again in A Grade, this time with 40 points off his handicap of 14 and again on countback, this time from Terry O'Callaghan.
Scott Ker was relegated to third place by countback, even though his round of 40 points was two under par. In B Grade Meridie Banson continued her fine recent form with 42 points off her handicap of 17. A countback favoured her over John Rimmer from Thirteenth Beach and Mark Westwood. Trevor Owens had a clear victory in C Grade after registering 42 points off his handicap of 28. Blake Thornhill finished second with 39 points and Don Helmore third on 37 points on countback from Henry George, Phillip Johnson and John Hasler. The nearest-the-pin winners were Bernie Krueger on 3, Neil Robertson on 9, Bob Piper on 14 and Stephen Pollard from Sale on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 35 points.
Bermagui Country Club
THURSDAY 6th September
The men played a Stableford Event off the White Tees where Paul Revill (12) kept up his very consistent form to win A Grade 40 pts. Runner Up was Peter Wilton (10) 33 pts on a countback from Bill McKenzie (14).
The B Grade winner with the equal best score of the day was Paul Rumble (17) 41 pts, Runner Up was Rod Ashton (21) 39 pts on a countback from Ross Simpson (20).
C Grade winner was Peter Bradley (32) who also had 41pts, Runner Up was Charlie Bennett (28) 38 pts on a countback from Santiago Valle (27).
Graeme Gunn scored an eagle on the Par 5 - 2nd hole.
SATURDAY 8th September
The men played a Stableford Event off the Blue Tees.
A Grade winner with 37 pts was Willow Lalao (14) Runner Up was Robert Scott (10) 36 pts
B Grade winner Shane Grebert (17) had the best score of the day 42 pts, Runner Up was Dave Cole (21) 36 pts, and C Grade was won by Brendan Matters (25) 39 pts from Peti Fereti (34) 36 pts.
Henry Loth had an eagle on the Par 5 – 9th and also won NTP on the 15th.

Thursday 13th will be a Stableford event playing off the White Tees .
Saturday 15th September marks the beginning of the 2018 Bermagui Week of Golf with
the ladies playing a 4BBB followed on Sunday with the Ladies Open.
Every day during the week has a special event culminating with the Mens 36 hole Open on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd
All affiliated members with curent Golflink Handicaps are welcome.

Tuross Head Country Club
Tuross Head Country Club men's golf stableford competition held last Saturday resulted in a win for well known club golfer Ian Lawson with a round of 39 points.
Peter Johnston filled second placing with 37 points ahead of Peter Garn, David Bray and Brenden Taylor who all finished on 35 points.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade player Colin Houghton on the 4th hole with 2.15m.
Arron Monopoli was best on the 6th with 2.52 m and Peter Duggan was closest on the 7th with 4.08m.
B grade golfer Ian Lawsin won the 4th with 4.82m and Kevin Dukes the 7th with 8.20m.
C grade player Joe. Lambert was awarded the 4th hole with 5.87m and Peter Duggan was the winner on the 6th with 4.08m.
Thursday's medley stableford competition was won by Peeter Garn with 38 points ahead of Trevor Jones 37, Ian Kingston and Colin houghton who both finisshed with 36 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Colin Houghton on the 4th hole, and Colin was also closest on the 6th.
Trevor Jones was the winner on the 7th hole.
Golfers are reminded that the Tuross Head Country Club Senior Open, an 18 hole stableford competition, is being held on Sunday September 23rd.
There will be awards for men and ladies overall winners together with A and B grade divisions and runner ups.
The format for the day will be a shotgun start at 8.30 am for 9am hitoff.
Entries can be made at the Golf Magic console at the club.

Bermagui Social Golfers
A lovely warm morning greeted us as we played our usual stableford event over 9 holes. The winner was Glen Van Dyke. The runner up Shane Grebert, third Len Murphy, and fourth was Roy Struthers. NTP on the 8th was Carson Bennett. Lucky player draw went to Len Murphy and Badge draw was Shane Grebert. Hacker for the day was Jim Bryan. We met back at the local pub and had lunch provided by the publican. We held our presentations and raffles with the Meat tray was won by Jeff Nielson and the Veggie tray was won by Tania from the Bar. The Pizza voucher and a bottle of wine was won by Patron enjoying lunch on the Pub's verandah. Glen Van Dyke won the other bottle of wine.
Golfers of any standard welcome each Sunday at the Bermagui Golf Course starting at 10:00. Next Sunday due to the Bermagui Women’s Open we will be playing at Tathra Country Club with bus leaving at 08:00.

The Moruya Saturday Golfers played a individual single stableford event with the following results: A Grade: Melinda Ashbury (42), Paul Mercer (38). B Grade: Ian Keating (39), Kye Parker (35). C Grade: Grand Arnold (42), Stephen Fletcher (38). Golden Shot won by Brad Corkery.
